Staff were all very friendly and welcoming, the room was spacious and the half board food was mostly fantastic. We opted for a private room so we had our own onsen. This was our first and only onsen experience so I can't really make any comparisons but it was seriously fantastic. Nice and hot, very private and clean. Loved it. Room is spacious and view is good. There is 3 onsen room that you can lock to use it privately. Also 2 big onsen that need to be reserved. Dinner is at 6pm or 6.30pm. Breakfast is at 7.30 or 8am. You can choose when you check in. Food is good. It's not private dining space but sharing with other families. Quite annoying when there is kids and other guests speaking loudly. Free parking. There is nothing around the hotel so better get everything you need (snacks/drinks) before heading there.
