Run by a lovely, very helpful couple who want your stay to be as good as it can be. Provided parking, excellent breakfasts, helpful local knowledge. The room was very clean and was refreshed & restocked each day. Highly recommended.

The cottage was perfect in every way

I have stayed in a number of hotels in Newcastle and this was the best stay. The room was spacious with a well equipped mini kitchen and we had prepared 2 good evening meals there. The bed was so comfortable and the location made the hotel quiet which is a change to the noise and sirens throughout the night in my other stays! We used the hotel as a base whilst I underwent some tests and procedures at the Royal Victoria infirmary. The staff could not have been more helpful and all in all the quality of our stay was exceptional. The bedrooms are understated but well-equipped. Modern, well furnished and clean rooms. Great location for local shops, cafes and restaurants and 10 minutes walk to West Jesmond metro station. Great value for money too.

Incredible dog friendly hotel with on site restaurant. The room with an external door was ideal for letting the dog out easily. Very clean and lovely place.

Room was spacious and bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was okay - the full English I felt was a bit small for what I paid but other hot options looked pretty good - would consider that next time and the continental breakfast was good. Staff were lovely.
