"Very welcoming and friendly place to stay, staff were good, lodgings round the back of the pub are excellent, modern and clean with big rooms and comfy beds and on the whole the pub seems popular with locals. Things of note - breakfasts were excellent where you chose what you like the night before and served beautifully and the evening meals good with fairly regular fair but especially the specials small blackboards are top notch and are a bit more than special so watch out for those....
