The staff were really friendly and approachable. The meal I had was one of the best I've had in a long while. The room was really clean with a Nespresso coffee machine which for me was a really nice touch as I love my coffee. The shower was lovely and hot. With the warmest of greetings I was shown to my room. The room was very clean and the bed comfortable. This is the first time I have slept all night in a hotel or B&B for many years. Breakfast was delicious and gave me a tremendous start to my day. Thank you so very much.

Very friendly staff , gorgeous room with huge comfy bed! Mineral water ,luxury soap etc and hot chocolate for the kids!! Lovely breakfast and wonderful service ! The best thing was our little dog was welcome too in the hotel and the pub. Great location as it makes a nice stop when visiting center parcs especially if your bringing your doggy friend ! WOW! What a stunning place! Which we highly recommend a stay here. From when you initially arrive at the property and travel down the drive you can see the wonderful gardens and beautiful views. A warm and welcoming stay in the heart of Ely in a lovely pub. The room was gorgeous, beautifully decorated, felt like a bijou apartment, and the bed very cosy indeed with sumptuous bedding. Very quiet, surprising for a pub on a high street . The bar downstairs is cosy with a large menu if needed. The breakfast menu also looked good but we didn’t partake. Highly recommend and would definitely stay again.

Booked for one night to attend a family wedding, check in via the bar, lady came straight out and explained that all the rooms were full, so as we were a family had upgraded us to Hannah House, a complete massive cottage to the three of us, It was beautiful and we could have slept 11 people in it, so rustic and full of charm lovely and peacefully we were so impressed. Lovely pub with rooms. Staff were very helpful and friendly and our room was cosy and quiet. We had breakfast and dinner, both of which were excellent. Parking was no problem and the pub provided a good base for exploring Cambridge and the Fens.

Cory, the manager of The Fox, is a lovely host. Super hard working, he is around to serve breakfast and still managing the bar late at night. Nothing is too much trouble. The rooms are spacious and warm. Parking is immediately outside the rooms and easily accessed. Bury St Edmund’s is a lovely town with excellent shopping and coffee shops. Strongly recommend staying at The Fox for visiting Bury St Edmunds.
