We usually stay at Hilton properties, but chose this hotel due to the lack of a Hilton in the area. Unfortunately, we could really notice the difference. In terms of the property itself, cleanliness, rooms, and breakfast style, there isn’t much difference. However, where this hotel falls short is in the service—particularly at reception. We are very down-to-earth people, but being pointed at and told, in effect, to “get it yourself” does not feel like good service. That said, there was one standout member of staff—a lady with glasses who checked us in on the first day and kindly provided us with a beach towel. You were absolutely fantastic 👍 Housekeeping was consistently attentive, and the real highlight of our stay was the breakfast team. They work tirelessly every morning, making the experience feel special. Credit also goes to the chefs—you’re amazing too. This may not be our last stay, but unfortunately, it wouldn’t be our first choice next. And the room has modern appointments that were really nice such as motion detected nightlights in the bathroom and l e d's that could be set for different light levels. It's true that the rooms are not very large and the bathroom is quite a squeeze. I was also a little stumped that amenities did not include body lotion or hair conditioner. These seem pretty basic for a four star hotel.
