"This is a really lovely and immaculately maintained property, and one that provides and excellent base for exploring the Lake District. It is very well equipped and comfortable, and also nice and quiet - just the tonic if on a break. We enjoyed cooking and relaxing and also exploring the local area, which was new to us. We hope to stay again!"

There was plenty of room in the bedroom for the travel cot we brought with us, and they provided a high chair on arrival. The apartment was also dog friendly so our little pooch was able enjoy the trip with us (at a cost of £25 per night). "What more could you ask for than a property where the supermarket (and many eateries) are around the corner and the bus stop is opposite the front door. Rayrigg is perfectly located, with a bus every 20 mins to take you to the railway station (about a 10 minute walk) or to other towns in the District. Just note, if you are challenged by directions, Lake Windermere is in an area called Bowness, and about a 45 minute walk to Ellerthwaite Square. I had the top room, so plenty of stairs to climb,...
