"Great hotel, great bar & restaurant"

"Check in was easy and plenty of free on site parking. Bar staff worked hard but you could clearly see they were understaffed. We eat twice, both times outside, the weather was glorious. Restaurant inside was stuffy with no fresh air, or windows open. Food was excellent , served reasonably quickly. Our room although very tired and in need of a new carpet was ok, bed was very comfortable. Bathroom again was in need of modernising but the shower was very good. Location was excellent just a short walk in the village. Overall good and we’d stay again if in the area. "

"Really nicely appointed hotel and very comfortable. There is plenty of parking You are offered a good choice for breakfast and it is very reasonable. Downside, it does not do evening meals so you have to make alternative arrangements. Fortunately there are quite a few pubs and restaurants within walking distance. Great that you can take your dog but they are not allowed in the large breakfast room and you are seated in the lounge on a sofa with a coffee table. Bizarrely the reason given is the dog would be too close to the cereals, kitchen etc . It would be possible to seat you at the back of the room about 30feet away from the cereals and kitchen but where you are in the lounge you are only 10ft away from the cereals and the kitchen!"

"Clean room, lovely staff, great location for getting to Download festival. Really good value for money. A few things to note - the reception is located in a different area of the campus to the accommodation. For the reception you want to navigate to the South entrance on Landcroft Lane and then take the first left. The room itself was good although it was quite warm in the summer & the pillows were thin so I’d recommend bringing some additional pillows with you. There is a large carpark by the accommodation but it isn’t cheap and charges 24/7. Also there is a very loud generator of sorts that runs all the time, so that along with the planes means you’ll likely want to sleep with the windows closed."
