Lovely Stay

Posted 16-Oct-2016
Location: Close to underground! Very convenient!
Nicely renovated room and courteous staff! We enjoyed our stay. Only negative would be the mattress was a little hard. Other than that, perfect!

Spacious rooms for travellers with lots of luggage

Posted 26-Sep-2016
Pros: Room size and bed
Cons: Renovations meant noise, hammering, drilling etc from rather early in the morning to end of day. Bad luck for us but hopefully improved rooms later
Location: Close to Queens Park which was important to us and walking to all areas like Notting Hill, Maida Vale etc.
Welcome Hotel at the end of a European wedding which catered for lots of luggage. The bed was very comfortable and king size. Staff pleasant and helpful especially concierge.

Waited too long to refurbish

Posted 10-Aug-2016
Pros: The staff were helpful and friendly during our stay. Child friendly restaurant.
Cons: Old decor of hotel rooms.
Location: Maida Vale is a decent neighborhood but unless you have some special reason to be in this area, there are better locations in London.
II travel a lot and see many hotels in different cities. Usually, there are no surprises at a Marriott. We stayed in a very tired room and this is an example when the hotel waited too long to upgrade their facilities. The stains on the carpet and worn bathroom fixtures gave our room an unclean feeling. The pictures on the wall of the hotel of what is to come look good but don't stay here unless you can secure a newly upgraded room.

It's ok but not impressed.

Posted 21-Jul-2016
It was ok. But for the price and the location, I think they have to do better. It's old establishment. We knew that, so no surprise there. But I could see some mold in the bath, the bathroom floor not too clean. Elevators not working. The room was old too. Breakfast was only 12 pounds pp. So it's cheap for London hotel and it's good enough quality. The kebub shop in front of hotel was good :) It's close to tube station but the th station is Kilburn park which is slightly off the center. We thought it's ok but actually I wish we stayed in more central location. It was annoying to get there from where we were. Personnel were nice though.

Room was a bit pokey. Shower water pressure hopeless.
