"I was going to visit the Brecon Mountain Railway and I needed somewhere close by to stay for the night. Luckily, I chose the Butchers Arms. The room was lovely and clean and the bed very comfortable. The food was filling and tasty and I had breakfast looking across to the start of the Brecon Beacons. The beer was wonderful especially the Butty Bach (little friend in Welsh). "

This is a small niche b/b hotel. Everything about it is excellent, the difference is the breakfast which is provided in your room via a small but fully functional kitchenette. This hotel was a lovely surprise, highly recommended.

We had 2 rooms at this property , we needed storage for 3 bikes overnight and this was not a problem. The rooms were very clean and comfortable, there was even a guest sitting room. Breakfast was very nice would stay again and recommend it

Very comfortable, all facilities good. Close to city centre. Room small (attic room) but that's what I paid for. Staff courteous and chatty and gave good advice. Not keen on the small TV in room but views more than made up for it. Tea, Coffee, biscuits, fresh milk, mini bar with local produce (mostly ciders), all very good. Breakfast was excellent with a highly varied and quality choice. En-suite clean, everything worked, plenty of goodies

We’re walking the Herefordshire Trail and stayed here for one night. I was a good choice. A friendly welcome.
We had an excellent room which was clean and comfortable with plenty of room to walk around. Food in the evening was excellent, with a good menu choice. A good selection of cask beers.
Breakfast was excellent a good menu to choose from. All the staff were great. We highly recommend.

We had a lovely overnight night stay at the Wallace. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Our room was clean and tidy with tea, coffee and Welsh cakes.
The pub was inviting with roaring log burner which gave extra coziness. The evening meal was delicious😋 The best local sourced fillet steak which was cooked to perfection. Full English breakfast was also very good. I would definitely stay again

What is the nightly rate for a Bed & Breakfast in Llanthony?
Prices for B&Bs in Llanthony often vary, but you can find a great deal from £76 with Expedia. All sorts of factors affect price, such as location and the time of year. It usually costs more to stay at Llanthony B&Bs over the weekend too. Travelers can find the best deals by being flexible with their dates, and by using our filters to sort prices from low to high.
When is the best time to book a Bed and Breakfast in Llanthony?
The best time to book a B&B in Llanthony is during the late spring to early summer months, particularly from May to June. This period is popular among travellers who appreciate the stunning beauty of the Black Mountains and the vibrant landscapes. With average temperatures hovering around 15-20°C, the mild weather is great for outdoor activities like hiking, exploring the historic Llanthony Priory, and enjoying the scenic trails that wind through the breathtaking countryside.
May, in particular, is a lovely month to visit. The area bursts into colour as wildflowers bloom, creating picturesque views that are ideal for photography enthusiasts. The pleasant temperatures make it a comfortable time for leisurely walks or picnics by the River Honddu, providing a serene escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
For those looking for a more budget-friendly option, consider visiting in November. While this month is quieter, it offers the chance to experience the tranquillity of Llanthony without the crowds. The autumnal scenery can be quite stunning, and you might even enjoy some cosy evenings by the fireplace in your B&B, allowing you to unwind after a day of exploring.
What is the difference between a Llanthony B&B and a hotel?
Every Llanthony B&B has its own unique feel. Whether it’s a cozy reading space or a sunlit breakfast nook to enjoy your morning cup of coffee, the quaint details are what make bed and breakfasts a home away from home. Travelers can look forward to personal touches, thoughtful amenities and of course a scrumptious breakfast at Llanthony B&Bs.
