The Castle of Brecon Hotel

"Just had a wonderful 3 night stay. Loved the place. I had a standard, large, comfortable quiet room, with comfy bed and spacious bathroom. I ate in at the hotel for all 3 nights and the food was superb. Good menu and each dish I had I could not fault, perfectly cooked and presented. Similarly the breakfasts were excellent. Staff were gracious and helpful at all times. I was on a 3 day solo motorcycling jolly. Hotel has good and free parking for residents .Great location for south Wales, pretty town and surroundings. I'll be back!"

"Check-in was really good, polite and helpful staff. Room was clean, spacious and beds we comfortable. Spa facilities were really good, not too busy and nice changing rooms. Only issue was breakfast, arrived 10am and there was not much left, no bowls, butter, juices, mugs, fresh fruit or pastries. Due to this we tried the cooked breakfast, looked good but my daughters sausage was uncooked in the middle. This was disapointing as she ended up just having beans on toast, not the treat she expected! Hotel all in all is lovely, just need maybe more staff to re stock at breakfast"

"Class hotel, parking is quite expensive at £25 per night. Staff were amazing, facilities top class including the gym and pool/spa area. Room was well appointed and comfortable. Bed was great. Bathroom was a little tired. Breakfast was ok."

"The expression ’hidden gem’ suits this property. Great staff who genuinely make you feel welcome. Comfy bed where I got an Apple PB 100% sleep score. Breakfast in the new room is wonderful too. Bar upgrade is due later this year which will make the Dragon hands down the best place to stay in Crickhowell hands down"
