"Despite me getting back to their email straight away, they did not confirm the check in time (you have to meet someone at the property) until the day before and that was after many ignored messages and calls. They asked for a £250 deposit on a 1 night stay that a week later is yet to be returned (there is no argument that the property was left in exactly the condition it was found). The shower was broken and there was no hot water. They asked for extra money on leaving for an "extra linen"...

"Bunch of fucking scammers wasting my fucking time and money. They cancelled my reservations last minute so I couldn’t physically cancel it, on top of that they refuse to refund my fucking money. I called them countless time to refund my money but wouldn’t pick up. Clearly they are using this method to scam people and they know well that Expedia do fuck all to help customers. "I had the booking confirmed and the host had even replied to my original message to confirm about time for checking in. On the day of arrival I had not received check-in information, I messaged to ask for it with no response. I later tried calling the host, no response. I then had to contact VRBO support who did provide access details to the property but by the time we arrived at the property the host had cancelled the booking. My partner and I were then forced to find alternate accommodation...

"I messaged this property as instructed and called several times to receive the access code necessary to enter the premises however I did not receive any response and was therefore left to book a last-minute hotel at great cost to myself. The property itself did not inspire confidence, as it looked like the outside of someone’s house with no signage to indicate it was reputable establishment to stay in. Throughly disappointing experience. "
