"Nice clean hotel but very overpriced."
The rooms were very clean and comfy. However this hotel was not updated enough to justify the £130 a night. One glass of wine and one fruit cider in the bar cost £14. I would highly recommend the hairdressers and the staff in the leisure centre were also great.

"Watching torrential rain....."
....was so much cozier from our spacious double-glazed second floor room than being almost anywhere else in Blackpool! The grey Irish Sea warmed up against the reddish comfort of our carpet and the comfort of our twin window arm chairs, with TV or newspapers, time to relax in comfort! Next morning a pre-breakfast swim....... In the hotel pool, followed by 5 min steam room then a hearty breakfast of immense choice - and flavour.

"Quiet hotel, lovely staff"
The old part of the hotel has a lovely character, but there are lots of steps up & down to the rooms in the modern part of the hotel. We had a lovely dinner from the fixed price menu, we has to be off early so I can't report on the breakfast. Slightly small room but the twin beds were comfortable and whilst I don't like a shower over the bath (I fell over getting into one in Cardiff) (Oh & the shower screen did leak) the bath room was clean & tidy. The pool was small but there was a steam room & hot tub and plenty of hand rails to make getting in & out easier. Staff were lovely, happy to help and worked well together.

"Perfect luxurious pad exactly as on advert."
It was perfect thoroughly enjoyed my stay so comfortable and easy to access places of interest. Boulton is a be as dutiful village with awesome surprising k y very lively night life. Friendly locals too. The only down was the noise from train station which is conveniently opposite the a poo apartments, but this could be tolerated given the comfortable apartments. I highly recommend this place. Awesome xxx

"Good adult only hotel with parking"
An excellent hotel in many respects. Reception and housekeeping staff were very helpful. Room carefully cleaned each day. Food exceptional with plenty of choice. Entertainment excellent as usual. Bar prices a little higher than a pub, however entertainment made up for it. If weather was poor you wouldn't need to leave this hotel. Don't forget you can use the pool at the sister hotel, The Cliffs.

Lovely staff and facility's. I didn't know it was a family hotel when we booked . Would of preferred just adults. The bathroom was extremely small . Room 217. I did waste a full hour of my holiday waiting to park . ( missing keeys ) although the staff was very nice and helpful .

"Everything Great"
Great hotel, right on the seafront a very short distance from the North Pier. Comfortable, spacious room, nice comfy beds. Staff very friendly. Great, cooked to order breakfast. Room had a nice seating area in front of windows overlooking the seafront. Stayed late July and room was lovely and cool as the windows allowed the cool breeze from the sea to enter.

Pocket Guide: Romantic Hotels in Lancashire

If your idea of romantic hotels includes images of Venetian canals, crumbling palazzos and flickering candles, while you stare into your loved one's eyes over a bottle of amontillado as a man with a violin and a rose between his teeth serenades you, then you might not immediately associate that with Lancashire!

But before you book a flight to Venice or Paris, have a look at the great choice of romantic hotels in Lancashire. This is a county with a robust industrial past, a no-nonsense approach to life - and a surprisingly romantic underbelly that welcomes star-crossed lovers all year round. Beautiful landscapes and great historic towns such as Lancaster and Liverpool are the ideal destination for a spur-of-the-moment break that will whisk your loved one off their feet. As Venice slips nostalgically into its lagoon and lives in the past, Lancashire's romantic hotels offer the perfect base for exploring an exciting and dynamic part of the United Kingdom.

Lancashire Romantic Hotels for Devoted Couples

With a number of first-class romantic hotels in Lancashire to choose from, it's up to you whether you would prefer to stay near the shops and cultural attractions of a city centre venue or out in the glorious Lancashire countryside at a historic hotel. There are romantic hotels in Lancashire to suit every mood. Sporty couples may like to have tennis courts and spa facilities on-site, whereas others incline more towards picturesque thatched cottages in the Ribble Valley. For others, a venue such as The Imperial Hotel or Viking Hotel in Blackpool will be perfect for enjoying the famous nightlife, clubs and entertainment of the city centre. With everything from stately homes, barns, cottages and even castles offering romantic breaks these days, your Lancashire romantic hotel can come in any shape or size, but they'll all deliver the goods.

Get Together at Lancashire Romantic Hotels

Romantic hotels in Lancashire will lay on little extras such as intimate suppers and breakfasts in bed, often with candles and fine wines to enhance the mood. However, it is the landscape of Lancashire itself which contributes the real romance of a break here, and brings people closer together.
