Not only was the property pet-friendly, but it was also clear that the staff also loves pets. Staff were very helpful. They have a chalkboard on which they list the pets staying with them that day! I prepared diapers and potty pads for my dog, but they provide all of these on site as well. There is a bit of an odor in the room transiently (unclear if it was because of the carpet or if it was from the rain). During my stay, this was easily addressed with the air purifier provided in the room. Perhaps a future consideration could be to switch from carpet to wood/laminate flooring? Other pet owners were responsible and conscientious. Dogs were carried or in diapers to avoid accidents, and were quiet and calm. It was so great to see everyone doing their part to keep a clean and friendly environment for everyone. This is the 2nd pet friendly property I have stayed at affiliated with Solare Hotels, and I am impressed. I will stay again next time I come with my dog to Kyoto.
