"A bit off the beaten track but for me it's better for it. Only real grumble was the soft mattress - a personal preference obviously.
Great place to switch off, unwind and get back to what matters."

Stayed for one night with my boyfriend, to get a break from it all and this was definitely the right place. Nothing was too much trouble, facilities great, bar food gorgeous, lovely atmosphere and tidy rooms. We actually had a bit of a hiccup from expedia as they sold a family room with 2 double beds that the hotel didnt have.
The receptionist Fluer (apologies if name spelt incorrect), was very helpful, polite and she made the stay that extra bit special for us and we recieved a...

We had dinner in the restaurant there and the food was delicious and lots of it .We returned back to out room to find a bottle of bubbles to celebrate our 10th wedding Anniversary compliments from the Mill..And breakfast was a full Scottish breakfast and very nice .The staff then and now are still amazing always smiling and helpful. This was the best B&B by far I have ever stayed in. The room was spotless and a very comfy bed.
The full Cumbrian breakfast was delicious and plenty of it, There was also a good alternative menu aswell.
But if you decide to have an evening meal you are in for a real treat. Darryl is a trained Chef and the meals he serves are amazing.

We stayed here from 27 November 15 to 1st December 15 and had a fantastic time. They couldn't do enough for us and were always there to give information when we asked. They even catered for my fiances breakfast of a burger every morning - if that's not customer service and going the extra mile I don't know what is. We look forward to having our wedding reception there in June 2016 and hopefully we will get to visit again before then. Can't recommend enough - great food great atmosphere very...

Paul and Alison were great hosts. Nothing was too much trouble. Paul even picked us up from the train station as we couldn't get a cab.
Food was hot and great portions. Would definitely recommend, great value for money 🙂
