We were to busy to use the Spa and did not eat there with other commitments taking priority.
Parking was great but $18 a night. Only downside was a water issue the morning of checkout.
Location was excellent, Victoria is a small town on a small island so easy to get around.
We traveled a lot to various functions and golf so did not spend much time downtown. Had some excellent Dim Sum in Chinatown.

" Upgraded to a suite. Will book a suite next trip."
We had a wonderful trip, and it was wonderful to be so close to everything, We ferried across from Port Angeles, the entrance is one block from the terminal, We had a car but walked all over, We were treated like royalty! We will make another trip and stay at the Royal Scot again.
Hotel is in a great position overlooking harbor. We got a side room and could see the water only close to the window. The restaurant had a spectacular view and the buffet breakfast, although not the best, was quite reasonably priced. We did a lot of walking, but appreciated free shuttle service into town both to go to Italian restaurant at a distance and when returning with luggage to coach station. Loved the indoor/outdoor pool and well-equipped hotel gym.
We arrived before check in time and as our room was not ready, we were offered an upgraded room for a very reasonable price. All rooms in the upgrade were large and clean and in addition, there was a fully equipped kitchenette. The hotel was close to the harbour and the Empress which is where all the tour buses leave. Further to this, we were within walking distance of the bus station from where we took the bus to Vancouver.

Wonderful location near the harbor and lots of restaurants. The hotel is older but very charming with attractive common areas. We needed the help of the staff several times, including a jump start for our car, and they were incredibly helpful. Would definitely stay here again!
James Bay is the oldest neighborhood in Victoria and is full of colonial charm, sprinkled with grand Victorian houses and perfectly manicured private gardens. It is located close to downtown on the south side of the harbor and offers gems such as Fisherman's Wharf marina, Beacon Hill Park, and the Strait of Juan de Fuca. The Royal British Columbia Museum is a must-see for history buffs.
