"Beautiful venue. Menu fairly limited and expensive but dining room experience was lovely. Room well appointed but dispensers didn’t work and the tv was tricky to operate."

"Very helpful, friendly staff who greeted us when we dropped off our bags, before normal check in time as we were going to a wedding and returning very late. All went very smoothly and a goid breakfast freshly served the next day rounded things off nicely"

The hostess, farmer's wife, Lesley, was so helpful and nothing was too much trouble for her. The accommodation is on Kellah Farm in beautiful countryside. Would recommend it for a visit."

"Nice hotel with friendly staff Busy pub & restaurant- great breakfast included in the cost of the stay Beautiful village with lots of history Lots of dogs staying & visiting with diners No lift (elevator) but they carried my bags up the stairs for me so that wasn't an issue They give you a key to the outer door so if you're out late (like I was for a wedding in a nearby location), you just hold a key fob to the door & you have 24 hour access They kept my bags free of charge so I could stroll along the river Tyne after checkout & had a couch for me to relax on as I waited for my train - gave me free wifi to upload my trip pictures too Great place to visit"

"A lovely stay in a beautiful part of the world. We stayed in one of the accessible rooms, so can’t comment on the other accommodation, but our room was clean, if a little dated. The real positives were the staff, genuinely lovely and welcoming – along with excellent food and a great selection of local beers on tap. We also enjoyed chatting with some fellow guests who were repeat visitors, which says a lot about the place. Overall, a relaxed and friendly hotel in a fantastic location, and somewhere we’d be happy to return to."
