I have stayed in a number of hotels in Newcastle and this was the best stay. The room was spacious with a well equipped mini kitchen and we had prepared 2 good evening meals there. The bed was so comfortable and the location made the hotel quiet which is a change to the noise and sirens throughout the night in my other stays! The Manager's get-together on the Wednesday and Thursday evening of my stay was unexpected and a lovely touch - free drinks and cheese and nibbles for an hour. The staff...

Loved our stay - welcome and restaurant service, in particular, was first class. Thank you.

We used the hotel as a base whilst I underwent some tests and procedures at the Royal Victoria infirmary. The staff could not have been more helpful and all in all the quality of our stay was exceptional. The bedrooms are understated but well-equipped. Our room was spacious and incorporated a substantial ensuite bathroom (possibly made bigger by disability provision). The hotel offers free Wi-Fi this was always up and running. A very impressive and imposing hotel that's clearly benefited from a multi-million pound revamp in the last year. I was offered a voucher each day for a free pint in return for foregoing daily housekeeping services and I thought this was a nice perk. Breakfasts are of the self-service variety and generally everything was in good supply, although all the croissants had gone occasionally. All in all an excellent base for a stay in Tynemouth, a gem of the North East.

Room was spacious and bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was okay - the full English I felt was a bit small for what I paid but other hot options looked pretty good - would consider that next time and the continental breakfast was good. Staff were lovely.

I stayed at jam jar for a brief period, but I’m sure I’ll be using the rooms sooner rather than later again. Excellent and well maintained. Staff very friendly and food is great at the bar below. Highly recommend

Staff were nice and friendly, the spa facilities were great got full use off these breakfast was great would highly recommend this hotel to family and friends. My only issue was the rooms can be a bit warm at night but other than that we had a great time.

The lady receptionists was rude when i booked in when my colleagues had already booked in the day before and spoken with Micky to confirm when i arrived to meet with my friends the women said that nothing is had been arranged When we spoke with Micky who was very professional sorted it out Thanks for Micky our stay was wonderful

We only stayed 1 night for an open day at the nearby university but couldn’t fault them and if our son gets into this chosen uni we will definitely be using this hotel to stay for visits. The staff were very friendly and accommodating
