Good hotel, but was located too close to the main train station (felt like it was almost in the train station with all the "strange people" looking into the restaurant windows...) The room fascilities were OK, but the room itself was very small for 2 people (even for one I would say) and the condition of the carpet left much to be desired (spotted).
We chose this hotel as it was near to the station. It is not the best area in town but we had no problems. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and the glass shower was a novelty. We would recommend this but possibly not as a long stay option.
Great hotel right next to train station. Excellent room, bedding, and nice big shower (for Europe). Wonderful breakfast, fruit, yoghurt, cheese, meat and breads. I ddon't not drink coffee, asked for hot chocolate and it was delicious. We like this hotel and when in Frankfurt usually stay here.
I stayed at the Pearl for a few days in December. It was about 15 minutes away from the Frankfurt central train station and with luggage the walk can be quite tiring, but without luggage it was in a great location -- walkable to the old district and to the Christmas market, and to the central train station of course. The Main river was also nearby. There is also a fantastic restaurant in front that serves delicious doners, and there were a few convenience stores nearby which was helpful.
All in all, should we return to Frankfurt, we'll probably stay at the Pearl again.
