May 14-16, 2014. We used the metro to get to Hotel Nuvo. Unfortunately, it was not in an area that had taxis outside the station to take us to the hotel, so we walked about 15-20 min dragging our bags through cobblestone streets & graffiti-covered areas. The hotel was a very nice surprise. Very classy inside, the staff was extremely helpful & professional, the breakfast had a huge variety of food & drinks. Room size, was average. For me, the bed was hard, but no different than any other European bed so far. It's right next to a train rail, which was not a problem for us, but we thought it would be a train that was convenient to us- it was not. Hotel has a pizzeria right next to it, plus one around the corner & a market so you can get inexpensive gifts or things you forget. 10 min walk to a beautiful bay view w park.
The hotel itself is pretty nice inside. My (single) room had aircon, tv, a clean bathroom with shower. Wireless was weak but usable in my room, strong in the hall. On the minus side, the room was extremely tiny, just about 1m around two sides of the bed was the available space; and it had a tiny window on somebody else's noisy balcony. There's also a cage with 7 parrotts in the main hall, and they are extremely noisy at any time of the day and the night.
The man at the desk (possibly the owner) did not refrain to smoke even when I was in front of him (in Italy it is forbidden to smoke in public places).
The breakfast is continental and quite rich.
The location of the hotel was very convenient for me as it is about 15 mins walking from Mostra D'Oltremare, but then that's it: if you want to go anywhere else, you have to spend 10-20 euros on a taxi. There is not really much around.

The room was clean an nicely decorated, the breakfast was good but light. They offered free parking which was excellent except that you better make sure your car is not too big because the parking is tight! The staff is very friendly and helpful, most of them speak english and some speak french!
Hotel is very clean, has a decent swimming pool, and a nice restaurant. The staff speaks English and are very welcoming. The room advertised a king size bed but in reality I found two beds put together. Service is very good.

A great place to stay and very hospitable Staff. I know, it's Naples, and the best thing to to is to appreciate how friendly and hospitable people are in this city once you let them introduce to their specialty: food, beverage, hospitality. Just ask! This hotel falls exactly in the same place. Although it may seem a little run down from the outside, everything went smoothly and its rooms are clean. Also, the AC was working properly, which is a luxury in Naples unless you get a five star hotel. Outstanding the croissants for breakfast! The hotel is located in the Fourigrotta area, not bad at all. you may take the L2 subway to central station-about 35 min- or a cab for about 25 euros. Walking out of the hotel, there are few bars and restaurants on the same street for a great Naples-style pizza.

This is a quiet, residential part of Naples that is easily accessible by metro and other means of public transport. Tourists usually stay here for cheaper accommodations, but most attractions are in other parts of the city.
