The Palm & Tide Beachfront Hotel

8/10 Good

"The staff was very friendly."

Hilton Sandestin Beach Golf Resort & Spa

8/10 Good

"Overall, the resort is a beautiful property. ‘Have vacationed at this resort several times. ‘Stayed in Emerald Tower this time with Westward view; sunsets were beautiful! Room interior was nice but nothing exceptional. Mattress was well past its prime. Dined in the Sandcastles restaurant. Staff attention was fine; Helen was delightful. Breakfasts were somewhat disappointing. Two of the mornings, there were no staff to cook make-to-order items and the wait staff seemed to assume diners prefer the buffet; my wife and I don’t. Breakfast menu selections were okay but not great. Evening meal menu was resort casual. Can’t comment on the Seagar’s restaurant."

Frequently asked questions

When is the best time to go to Freeport?

The best time to go to Freeport, Florida, is during the spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November) months.

During these periods, you'll experience pleasant weather with comfortable temperatures and less humidity, making it ideal for outdoor activities like exploring the beaches or enjoying the local parks. You'll also find that the crowds are generally smaller than during the peak summer season, allowing for a more relaxed and convenient experience.

Couples often appreciate the spring and autumn for a more tranquil getaway. The milder weather is great for leisurely strolls along the coastline or enjoying a meal outdoors without the intense heat or the busiest crowds.

Families might also find these shoulder seasons appealing. While the summer offers warmer water for swimming, the spring and autumn still provide lovely beach days with more space to spread out and enjoy the natural beauty of the area.
