"Stay in annex building"
The annex was across from the main hotel building about 100 yards away. First, I wasn't thrilled because we had to cross the street to get to the main office, beach and restaurant. But it turned out nice because we enjoyed the spacious (with 2 televisions!), private atmosphere and a hammock in the balcony!

"This is the best find in Key West"
The pool, beach, rooms, decor, and friendliness make this hotel the best find in the keys. I chose this hotel on an impromptu trip and was not disappointed. I was even the guest of the day which came with a good and beverage credit. This was beyond any expectation.

"Quiet Location Not Far From the Action"
This is a quirky hotel, with rooms all over the hotel at the tops and bottoms of various staircases and across the street. Attractive building, nice continental breakfast. About four blocks from Duval Street, the main drag in town, and also close to the harbor. Quiet street. Bed was not the best but not the worst; room on the small side but not suffocatingly so. Everything worked; no issues to deal with. Pool is small and not designed for swimming but rather lolling and relaxing. No chaises nearby. Front desk was pleasantly staffed but not particularly designed to provide a lot of tourist info. Here's a tip: There are several "trolleys" in town; take the green and orange one that looks like an open-air bus, as it has far more stops and covers far more of the island; don't take the "train trolley", with just four stops and partial island coverage. Or, take the economical public bus.

"Huge room, nice pool"
Huge room in building C room 208. two queen beds but tremendous space between foot of bed and wall. could've added a chair in the corner with a ottoman. when we got there Otis said our room was ready, however, the beds were turned over and that was not the case. So we had to leave the room while they cleaned. Took about half an hour so for someone to come clean. pool is heated and large and very relaxing. plenty of relaxing chairs. didn't eat at the fine dining restaurant, but we ordered from tiki bar outside and watched the sunset. chairs and tables outside. others sat on the dock and watched the sunset. white, sandy beach. nicest place in Marathon. they have a small adult pool in another section but we didn't get in that one. very small and not as pretty

"Good place to rest between activities "
Really only went to sleep. Most time was spent enjoying the activities. Ginnalee was very helpful with planning things to do. The night paddlingboarding with led lights was interesting but wasnt able to really see much. Best part was getting close to the birds that rest in the mangrove at night. Montana, our guide for the jet skiing was great. He took us out and around the island. We also did the 4 hr kayak and snorkle through lazy dog. Our guide, kelly taught us all about the mangroves and sea life. Was also a lot of fun. As far as the hotel, the shuttle service made it easy to get around downtown. Liked the 50s bungaloo feel. Was a little disappointed we didnt have a private hammock and had to share with our neighbors that used it to dry their clothing. (No one told us we had to share :/) the room was clean although the bathroom let out a mildew smell. The toilet leaked a bit. The parking is right out side the rooms although you dont get a reserved spot which would of been helpful. The room was pretty quiet, no spring breakers which we were nervous would be up all night. The stoned crab thats attached to the lobby is convenient for the free breakfast but we chose to eat elsewhere for lunch and dinner since its a bit pricey. Also the bikes we rented could use an upgrade. The grips were shredded and the chain rusted :/ all in all we did like it and would recommend.

Pocket Guide: Child Friendly Hotels in Florida Keys

Hotels for the Whole Family in Florida Keys

Florida Keys is one of the best family destinations in the state. The islands here are jam-packed with thrilling activities and all-age attractions. Choose a large child-friendly resort with enough facilities to keep kids entertained at all times for a relaxing stay. Child-friendly pools, fun activities and special kids’ programmes will allow children to play in safety while you soak up the sun on nearby loungers.

If you’re travelling with teens, you may want to stay in connected rooms so everyone can have their own space while still remaining near one another. Pick a child-friendly resort with WiFi and television in the room to give the kids some of their home comforts, or choose accommodation that will help your family disconnect from technology and discover the pleasures of nature instead.

    Family Fun in Florida Keys

The town of Key West is full of museums and attractions geared towards families. Laugh at the weirdness of our planet in the Odditorium, a Ripley’s Believe It or Not! Museum, which features a selection of two-headed animals and a buffalo with pure white fur.

The Key West Aquarium is the home of sea turtles, alligators and stingrays among other creatures. Kids will enjoy the touch pool, where they can feel the textures of harmless underwater creatures.

Take your youngsters to the Key West Shipwreck Museum, which reveals how wreck crews salvaged valuables from shipwrecks in the Florida Keys. Climb the museum’s observation tower and watch ships passing through the Gulf of Mexico.

Child-Friendly Activities near you Florida Keys Hotel

Tots, teenagers and parents will enjoy fun of the beach. Head to Anne’s Beach, where the sea stays shallow for a long way, so young children can play in the water without the risk of undertow. Snorkel through the water to look at the marine life that lives in the sea grass growing on the sand bar.

Head to John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park to see some of the most colourful underwater wildlife in the Keys. Older children can go diving to discover live coral, while the whole family can have fun on a glass-bottomed boat before heading back to the hotel.
