I was looking for a one night stay close to Diss for the 2017 Organ Festival. I searched on proximity and price and Hazel Barn met my requirements. We battled the snow for a stay here and were so glad we did. The hotel is beautiful with all the wooden beams and real log fires and our bedroom was a really good size. Both dinner and breakfast were yummy and my husband even had a treatment in the spa which he enjoyed. My only criticism would be the lack of music. Cory, the manager of The Fox, is a lovely host. Super hard working, he is around to serve breakfast and still managing the bar late at night. Nothing is too much trouble. The rooms are spacious and warm. Parking is immediately outside the rooms and easily accessed. Bury St Edmund’s is a lovely town with excellent shopping and coffee shops. Strongly recommend staying at The Fox for visiting Bury St Edmunds.
