I was looking for a one night stay close to Diss for the 2017 Organ Festival. I searched on proximity and price and Hazel Barn met my requirements. For a bed and breakfast Hazel Barn far exceeded my expectations. The owners are very welcoming and friendly and the breakfast provided was absolutely superb. I tend to worry about the cleanliness of a B&B and thus avoid them. However, this one was priced at a really good rate and most other hotels close to the wedding I was attending were already booked. The welcome could not have been friendlier, really lovely people. The station house building is a little 'creaky' but it's full of character and well appointed; it was really nice seeing the trains come and go and they did not disturb us at all. The view from the window was lovely with the sun rising over the river Deben, looking up to the ancient hills of Sutton Hoo. Breakfast was great! Full English (vegetarian), with loads of coffee and plenty of smiles.
