"We were bumped by the Grange Blooms hotel into their less attractive but nearby sister hotel, the Grange Whitehall. Great location, but a very average hotel, falling apart a bit."

"The Grange Lancaster was shut and we had no information about this on the website. On arrival, the only information was a tiny notice on the entrance of the hotel redirecting us to another of the grange hotels. On arrival at that hotel, there was no record of our booking and was directed to a third hotel within the chain. We spent over an hour after a long journey trying to check in. "Excellent location!!! Close most places we wanted to see and experience. Also, close to two metro stations (Westminster and Waterloo) with a direct line to all other places we went to. We had a double bedroom suite, which was perfect for family of four. Great staff. "

Great hotel, fabulous staff

"All the staff are amazing. They make you feel very welcome, are all so helpful and nothing is too much trouble. I really can't praise them enough! The room was small but very clean and comfortable with everything you could need for a great stay. The air con was a massive bonus as it was very hot during our stay, but our room was lovely and cool so we got a great nights sleep each night. The only thing that I would say is to check which rooms have a better shower if you have mobility issues or if you are tall, as our shower had a big step in (it was 12 inches off the floor) which left very little room between the shower floor and the low ceiling. Im 5ft 8in and I struggled to wash my hair without banging my elbows on the ceiling! It was my daughters birthday while we were there and there was a card, balloon and chocolates in the room when we arrived, which was a lovely touch and really appreciated. We didn't have breakfast at the hotel but we did eat in the restaurant in the evening. The food is delicious, the staff are lovely and we were impressed how reasonably priced it was. They are very knowledgeable about allergies and have some great options if you do have a food allergy. It is an ideal location, easy to walk to a lot of attractions, perfect for theatre visits. Lots of shops and dining options nearby too. We will definitely be back and I doubt we would stay anywhere else in London now. The hotel is great, but it's the staff that absolutely make this hotel perfect."
