"Beautiful grounds and garden. Helpful staff. Comfortable room and bed, tasty breakfast.
Only complaint, the front entrance is locked a little early for a Saturday evening, took 2 calls to get the entrance opened.
But would recommend."

"The communication was terrible, we only got the code for the apartment access after we called the owner a few times. Even after he had picked up and said he was sending it, he still didn’t and we had to call him back again. This was all last minute. We had originally booked to stay in the bigger apartment but the owner sent a message on the app to say he had double booked us and were we happy to stay in a smaller apartment with a shared kitchen rather than a private one. "Great location, pleasant traditional rustic bar with some good ales.
Rooms were dated and bathroom needed some tlc.but for our needs it was perfect.
Breakfast was excellent and kept me going all day.
The dinning area was rustic too, but ok for us.
Would use again."

"The bed was ok, it was a single, lots of storage, kettle with tea bags, tv and a safe. Bathroom light was automatic so goes off if you're in the shower, where there was no shower gel or soap. The internal stairs are fine but getting out the fire escape for out of hours access is where it's tricky. There's a balcony out there with seating. Fine for short stays and there's a bus stop outside for when it runs."

This rambling old place has a lot of character, and some eccentricities. I have stayed here several times and never had a reason to complain. I am an elderly woman travelling alone and would not keep coming back if my rooms were not clean and very comfortable. The staff are always friendly and most helpful.
There is only limited parking but as yet I've had no problem - I understand that there is a public car park nearby, and also roadside parking is not difficult.

Love this place. The village is beautiful and full of Cotswolds charm, whilst the pub is an absolute delight for foodies. Tremendous value given the quality of the accommodation and the food. Our room was luxurious and spacious. Loved the 100 Acres toiletries, the farmhouse-style breakfast and the super-comfortable bed. This is a great base from which to explore the Cotswolds.

Very welcoming arrival with a small tour around the grounds. Rooms clean and suitable for the 1 night we was there. Small communal area with tv, fridge and basic cooking equipment was a great little touch.
