"Clean room with very helpful and welcoming staff."

"This place is a real gem. The bedrooms are large, quiet, full of all the amenities you need, inc dressing gowns and full of character. I believe that most of the rooms are themed based upon connections with the surrounding area . The evening food in the restaurant downstairs was excellent as well as the service from all the staff. Breakfast options were a small but well stocked buffet along with the choice of cooked options - which again were excellent. We had a thoroughly enjoyable stay and will definitely return and stay longer next time. "

"Staff were good. Poor nights sleep though as the room we had on the upper floor was far too hot and uncomfortable to sleep in ( not sure how people cope in summer as it was 10 degrees outside) . No other rooms available as there was a wedding going on at the hotel .They had already provided a fan in the room ( so they must know about the issue) which we had to use all night as well as keep the Juliette balcony door open. Food in the restaurant was ok but service and staff were very good. Leaving disappointed , especially given the cost of the room. "

"Breakfast was Luke warm / not much bread left for toast as I assumed that most items were consumed by an overnight coach tour party staying overnight with earlyish departure. One staff member on duty probably having to cover for restaurant In the room which was ok the only problem was when you empty the wash basin the waste water came up the bath plug hole"

"I've had the same room twice now. There is terrible black mould in the bathroom that has gotten worse in the two weeks between visits. Rest of the hotel and staff are nice interested to see what other rooms are like "
