"What a fantastic stay on this beautiful farm we had! There are sheep and goats on the property, and everything was clean and lovely! The views are spectacular and the houses are clean, charming and comfortable! We were 6 friends traveling together and all absolutely loved this gorgeous property and wonderful hosts. Definitely do not miss having Monica cook for you – it was one of our highlights for sure! She prepared the most delicious 4 course dinner made with fresh, local ingredients, her homemade cheeses, and wine from a friend's vineyard! We were only sad we hadn’t arranged for her to cook another meal for us. As other reviewers note, be aware that the internet is spotty (which actually allowed us to just disconnect more fully while there :-). Also be aware if you use heat, that you will be charged separately for that, and it is best if you have cash to pay the day you leave, and it is quite expensive. The place is even better than in the pictures and I would go back again (and again) in a heartbeat and stay even longer (and have Monica cook more meals)! Grazie, Monica and Giovanni!"

"Planned this trip with my two siblings and my sister in law and we are so happy we chose Massimo’s Villa! Massimo is a wonderful host and went above and beyond to accommodate us on a very late arrival time due to some airline delays. We should have arrived at 3pm but due to delays and being rerouted through Rome we did not arrive until 1am. Massimo’s suggestions for restaurants and winery visits were on point and setting us up with a Chef to cook dinner for us at the Villa made for a very memorable evening. Would not hesitate to stay at this property again! 5 Stars!!!"

"This little farmhouse is 100 years old and still had everything we needed for our stay. Comfortable beds, nice showers and plenty of hot water. It gave us a taste of a life lived long ago. Views were beautiful and the town of Lucca was 20 minutes away by car. Shopping there is great. The farmhouse is remote, quiet, and in the middle of olive trees. Wi-Fi was good, and the parking was a nice amenity. Massimo provided us with a lot of local information which was very helpful. We enjoyed our stay."

"Set inside a visitor park, at first we were disappointed by the location. It is actually behind private property signs in its own area (better fencing and signage would improve it). It is quiet (especially during the week) and with gorgeous views. The pool is a few strides from the house, rather than attached, but is pleasant and unusual. The owner was very kind and friendly and could not be more helpful - it is very welcoming. We had a fantastic stay, thank you."

"Had a great week here, it's a bit "up a hill", but it's a very nice village, and not far from a very decent supermarket, and there is a very local shop also. The host was very helpful and nice."

"After a precarious drive up, we were blown away by the views and pool at this property. It is breath taking. There is a wonderful restaurant just up the road and a fantastic town below. Really great place to bring groceries, sit by the pool and relax. We had a fabulous spa day in the town, also. LOVED this stay and hope we can return!"

"A clean, comfortable villa with a fantastic view. Enzo, Host, was very helpful in getting our group settled. He even went way out of his way to pick up part of the party from the station in Pisa. We used the very functional kitchen, the beds were comfortable and enjoyed the quaintness of the Villa. Only challenge was the road up the mountain - took some careful getting used to!!"

"Paolo’s property was perfect for me and my family. It is clean, spacious and very well presented. It is a perfect location for exploring the Garfagnana region and close to plenty of local amenities. The swimming pool is beautiful and the hosts were very welcoming and helpful. We hope to return next summer. Grazie mille, Paolo!"
