Loved the Dorp’s quirkiness and overall atmosphere. The rooms and bed very comfortable and well equipped. The staff was very welcoming and helpful. Would definitely stay again.

Amazing experience. Staff were very hospitable. The game drives were also really cool. Our ranger, Daniel, went above and beyond to ensure that we saw all the animals on our list. Overall great experience.

Wonderful place, Rangers, trackers and staff. Excellent food in terms of quality and choice and lovely wines / beers. Loved every minute and would love to return again. Been to other ( more expensive) camps in the area and this one is much more relaxed and enjoyable.

Truly a luxury experience with champagne welcome, three course breakfasts, real fires in the rooms and staff, at all levels, who were welcoming and helpful. Would highly recommend this accommodation - beautiful rooms in a beautiful setting which was enhanced by the service provided by the staff through the car being washed in the morning, fires being lit in your room in the evening to the outstanding food and willingness by the staff to make your holiday a wonderful experience.

We unexpectedly had a hot tub on our balcony, the rooms were absolutely huge and beautifully decorated and staff were so polite and helpful

We stayed here for our honeymoon. Words cannot describe how we feel about Kapama River Lodge. This place is unbelievable. I’ve stayed at many 5* hotels, but this lodge is far more superior than any of them. This was an amazing place to stay during our time on Cape Town. The main thing that stands out is the staff, they are helpful beyond measure and will go above and beyond, with enthusiasm and personality. They genuinely care about their guests and will do whatever they can to help, including assisting in itineraries and bookings. This turned out to be an excellent family holiday. We originally chose the tented camp option as it was the cheapest way for the four of us to stay on one of the private game reserves (Woodbury Tented Camp is located in the Amakhala game reserve), however I would now recommend this option over a regular lodge as it offered the perfect balance of adventure and comfort (electric blankets on the beds!). A truly magical stay, really brilliant dinner and all drinks included which makes it better value for money. Lovely staff. Only downside is the rooms are tired and the whole pool and bathrooms need maintenance. Also a wider breakfast choice perhaps it is a bit limited. Thanks to Kim for looking after us perfectly.

Beautiful lodge, recently renovated rooms. Service and food was amazing. Game drives twice daily. It was a truly memorable experience albeit a very expensive one, but you get what you pay for.

This was a cut above the average airport hotel, with attention to detail in the rooms and great service.
