Such a beautiful, grand and gracious hotel, this is in a perfect spot in Ripon. We were looked after as if very special guests by all the staff. The food was so delicious, a unique and delicious breakfast. Totally recommended

Free car parking! Easy to find , nice modern bedroom , shower ,tv , coffee tea etc , We managed to get the key early , Breakfast was Cooked freshly for us .

Everything about The Royal is quality. The rooms are beautifully decorated and very comfortable and the food is excellent, varied and very good value for money

On arrival we were greeted very warmly and show to our room which was spotless. After settling in we went back down to the bar area and were made to feel very welcome, we ordered a meal and went to the restaurant the food was great. Breakfast was ordered the night before and you were asked what time you would like it, this was also great and set us up for the day. Real luxury, and a quiet, dark night's sleep.

A very comfortable and clean guest house close to Heysham Ferry Port with long stay parking available. No kitchen but breakfast available a few minutes walk away at the nearby beach cafe and lunches and evening meals available at the cafes and inns in Heysham Conservation area within a 15 minute walk.

We received a warm welcome in the bar and were shown our room. The room was quite small but it was clean and well laid out and had everything we needed. Breakfast of cereal bar, instant porridge and a croissant is provided but we headed to the Wetherspoons or local cafe. The bar is very welcoming and has a nice atmosphere. We liked the central location for exploring Lancaster and not far from the University so we were able to easily visit our son. We will definitely be back.

Stunning view of the bay. Lovely spacious room with quirky bathroom. Enjoyed our stay. Outside of the building could do with a lick of paint.
