The property was beautiful and very maintained. The rooms were spacious, clean and extremely comfortable. Air conditioning was great. The heated plunge pool was amazing. The staff are all helpful and polite. The food and drinks were all delicious and big portions. My favourite part was being in the middle of nature and being able to see some of the incredible wildlife that Costa Rica has. This place is a wonderful place to relax. We definitely didn't want to leave because we loved it so much.

AMAZING this place is absolutely gorgeous, high standard of decoration, comfort and amenities. The owners are so welcoming and helpful and will help you plan and even book tours and transport for you. Its really good value, top accommodation at middle range prices...definitely recommend

We loved our stay at Lomas del Volcán and can't recommend it highly enough. One of the best hotels we've stayed at. We received an extremely friendly welcome and throughout our stay nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Breakfast was amazing, with so many exciting options. The bar offered a great menu (we didn't try the restaurant) and the swim-up bar was a real highlight, especially as it was in a heated pool. So cool, with great cocktails and smoothies. This is one of the most special places I have ever visited. The location was just beautiful and going to sleep and waking up to the sounds of the Pacific (and monkeys playing in the trees outside the cabin!) was amazing. The food was fantastic and extremely plentiful - you definitely won't go hungry here! The hotel was fantastic. Spotlessly clean. The free wildlife tour was excellent and we were lucky to see Armadillos. The pool and jacuzzi were lovely too. Would definitely recommend.

Beautifully cared for hotel with private hot springs and spa and excellent service

Booked the tree house as a special treat and it was wonderful. The Sloth House, which we had booked was a little close to the road, but we were offered a larger tree house with a hammock (my partner loves hammocks!) for the rest of our stay which was perfect. The property is superb, the pictures doesn’t do it justice as we were expecting a standard stay but what we got was an amazing property, clean rooms and great AC, clean and friendly staff. One of, if not, the best hotel we have stayed in. The views over the Pacific Ocean are amazing. We stayed in both the villa Palma and villa sol. Both were great. The Palma had a smaller, colder plunge pool but a great big shower with a view out of the window. The sol had a great big bed, big bathroom and bigger pool with loungers. Both had hammocks and tables with great storage in the room. If I had to choose just one I would go for the sol because of the pool and slightly more west facing view...

Really helpful friendly staff, picking own salad was good fun. Very comfortable beds and high quality bathrooms. Wildlife in gardens. Excellent set up, stayed with 3 kids aged 8 to 14 who loved it. 15 minute walk to centre of Monteverde for restaurants although a decent Soda and pizzeria 5 minutes walk away.
