We absolutely loved our stay at Camino Verde. The views from our room and from the lounge/breakfast area were incredible. We could easily see the pacific ocean! Breakfast was delicious and the hotel was very helpful with coordinating tours and transfers. Highly highly recommend!!

Cloud forest is impressive especially in Santa Elena National Park. Walking around misty forest for hours is so calming. Monteverde cloud forest offers amazing views of the whole area. Santa Elena town is fine, just few restaurants and nothing else.

Monteverde is busy. Titally geared up for tourists. Don’t expect there to be clouds in the national Parks; we went there to walk in the cloud forest but there wasn’t a cloud in the sky! The last hour of the journey there is on extremely bumpy gravel.
