"The 3 stars for AREA AROUND THE PROPERTY is only for the location but ONLY because it’s an airport hotel- conveniently near the airport (with free shuttles every 30 minutes and averaging about 14 minute drive to the airport) but in the middle of nowhere just off the highway. The property itself has a lovely bar, excellent restaurant, and breakfast buffet. So it is an excellent respite for the night before your flight out of Athens. "

"This property has a great location and proximity to confisia which is a busy district. With tons of restaurants and shopping, it's extremely safe at night. There are plenty of people around and you can go out for drinks and walk home alone at 3:00 a.m. And be completely safe. I love it here. Be sure that you go to the steam room. "The Athens Gate Hotel was excellent. Since it was too early to check in they took care of our luggage so we could tour the city. Everyone at the hotel was great. The room was outstanding. The free breakfast was unbelievable. And with that great food you get to eat with excellent view of the Acropolis. Excellent"
