A warm welcome on our arrival and was checked in quickly and escorted to our room. Staff were terrific, dinner plentiful, warm ambience and fairly busy. The room is small but fine for one night and price. The only thing was the headboard in room 2 was flaking off. The Woolpack is simply the best Inn that I’ve stayed at. Gorgeous building (complete with ghost?). Staff that are genuinely friendly, a pub packed with locals that must be the friendliest in the Country. I was lucky to be there for Thursday night karaoke… honestly I’ve arranged my diary to be there on Thursdays. If you like an authentic pub, great food, superbly comfortable accommodation and a strong community spirit.. (and maybe a ghostly nun).. then this is the best place to stay!
