"Was very clean, and was given a room with a window I could see the planes. As others have stated, was very quiet despite the airport location. Close to the train station, about 20 mins by train to central London. There are a few shops close by, but only 2 restaurants that trick you into leaving a tip, so that wasn't so great. There was a Wetherspoons but their prices were a lot more than the Wetherspoons in Cardiff, so airport prices are higher than outside the airport. Best part was easy access to my flight. The only down side was the shower had no curtain or glass so the water goes everywhere in the bathroom! The TV had trouble getting some reception, and when I discussed with staff, it was fixed and my heating seemed to work better at the same time, weirdly enough. Due to the room's size, one or two nights is best. Free coffee was supplied which was a nice touch, in a special coffee room near the elevator."

"The main thing wrong with this hotel is the furniture. It’s drab and not in good condition, the table over the mini fridge was tapped up with brown tape, to hold it together. Can’t you just buy a cheap new one? The chair by the bed was badly stained and there was gum in the carpets. In the bathroom the bath was stained and had no plug and no plug in the sink either, so hard to shave. These all make the place feel really unwelcoming. There was also a pleasant smell about the place. When I arrived at the property a sign on the reception desk said to call to speak to someone. I called and someone answered, when speaking I realised that the guy was in the next room, he couldn’t even be bothered to come out and greet me and give me the key himself. Not great. Pluses were that the bed was clean and you can get the bus to the airport no problem, there’s a Sainsbury’s across the street and a pub nearby too. Could be soooo much better if they just looked after the place a bit more."

"Just had a quick over-night between flights, but the staff was helpful. The shuttle service was too expensive in my opinion, and the first shuttle was too full to accommodate us so we had to call a taxi…which ended up being nearly the same price."

"We stayed in a family room with 3 beds, the room was HUGE! Very close to south terminal which was very convenient. Free breakfast included which was good. Only down side was i had read prior that the rooms were sound proof but our room over looked the area with outdoor kitchen bins and we were woken several times before midnight by staff emptying glass bottles etc into the bins, which was not ideal with small children and an early morning flight."
