"TravelNess Apartment was absolute perfection. It was incredibly clean, spacious, comfortable. We stayed over the Christmas/New Year holiday and the apartment was nicely decorated for the occasion. "We couldn’t stay. Caked on feces in the toilet, very stained mattress with what appeared to be dried urine and dried blood. Hotel was fully booked so no other room was open. We had to find another hotel at 8 pm. Terrible experience"

"We traveled with other family, so we had two rooms. Check in was very rough. Once we finally found the correct building and desk, the two people at check-in were quite rude. When we got to the rooms, one of the room was lovely, lots of nice amenities. The other room had no amenities (no shampoo, conditioner, robes, etc); it also had a broken shower. When the desk was called, no one answered. Breakfast was a similar situation; the first morning, they were out of pastries, sourdough bread, potatoes, etc. The second day everything was there, and breakfast was lovely. The kids enjoyed the pool, and we enjoyed some hiking in the Cairngorms. Our checkout was much better than checking in; the gentleman was very friendly and helpful. Downtown Aviemore was quaint with shops, restaurants, and the train station. All were within walking distance. Overall, a very inconsistent, but average stay."

"Having a restaurant and bar on site was very helpful when getting in late. Staff was very helpful and fun (Jonathan and Isley). Good selection of whiskey and our room was very fancy. No mini-fridge and the most expensive place we stayed on our trip but it was great and we'd go back. Free parking is a bonus."

"Restaurant food was good but the service was poor. The pricing of the food is bizarre too and I believe we were double charged for our food. The waiter could not adequately explain the pricing and I think we were charged double because we shared appetizers and mains (I think they charged per person even if you shared plates). The rooms are pretty dated too including a stained chair in the room."
