"The street leading into the hotel was lined with what appeared to be abandoned buildings with graffiti walls. Our room would have rated higher if the slanted walls on either side of the window didn't reduce the size of the room. You couldn't sit by the window without hitting your head. A missed opportunity would have been to take advantage of a cushioned window seat. We did appreciate the view of the river however."

"Great location within walking distance to everything within Inverness. Great views of River Ness and the Castle. Room was cute and spacious but the bed was not comfy at all. Not sure if this was just our room but anytime would flush the toilet or take a shower the plumbing would sound like a barge was coming through - this would go on for the entire shower. It is an older hotel so assumed is just old plumbing but that was super annoying. Additionally someone's dog must of pooped on the entry floor and it was tracked all through and up the steps and they didn't clean it up until the next morning and it smelled awful. No parking but car park within few minutes walk and only 5 pounds a day. "

"Just returned from a week in Scotland and used the Loch Ness Drumnadrochit Hotel as a base whilst backpacking the Affric Kintail Way over 4 days. Fantastic service provided all round by Donald and his team. From allowing me to park my car there for 4 days while completing my multi day walk to providing plenty of useful information about the area and things to do. On finishing my walk, I'd planned to stopover one night and return home.I decided last minute to stay for 2 nights to rest up and Donald booked me into a lovely room which was just what I needed after 4 days in a backpacking tent. He and his staff couldn't do enough to make me feel welcome and the food in the restaurant was excellent too. Would definitely recommend this place if you're looking at staying in and around Loch Ness."

"I understand that all the rooms are different and the owners tell you that up front. Having said that, we spent 3 weeks in Scotland and this was the best room we stayed in. Very roomy bedroom and bathroom and everything worked. What else can you ask for? Easy walking distance to the heart of the city was a big plus."

"Convenient location next to the train station. Room was tidy. Double bed is awfully small for two people, but we made do. Really our only complaint is that the room was hot and hard to get comfortable."
