This is the most comfortable hotel I've stayed in for business or pleasure- the beds were perfect, as were the duvet thickness and pillow softness, both of which I've often found to be a problem at hotels. They got in touch with me in advance to check if I had any requests for high or low floor, duvet or pillow preferences, I asked for soft pillows if possible and they provided ones that were perfect, and the ideal number of them. The room was clean and well thought out, as were all the...

We were very happy with the hotel. The room was very clean, the bed comfy, the breakfast excellent. The hotel staff were helpful and friendly. Despite the fact that there was a wedding reception on the second night, we were not disturbed by any noise. The swimming pool, spa bath, sauna and steam room were very nice. We will use this hotel again and can thoroughly recommend it.

We booked on the day and stayed in a log cabin (there were lots of options available - shepherds huts, log cabins, glamping units etc with a range of different facilities like en-suite or hot tub etc, or you can stay in the Old Hall House) It was excellent value for money and the facilities and surroundings were brilliant. The restaurant was nice for breakfast which was included in the stay (£10 each).
Lots of lovely walks in the woods and around the boating lake. Will definitely come again and...

When is the best time to go to Coventry?
The best time to go to Coventry is typically during the late spring (May to June) or early autumn (September to October) when the weather is generally mild and pleasant.
During these months, you'll experience comfortable temperatures, making it ideal for exploring the city's historical sites such as Coventry Cathedral and the Herbert Art Gallery & Museum, both conveniently located in the city centre. The streets are less crowded than in peak summer, allowing for a more relaxed experience when visiting attractions or enjoying a coffee in one of the many cafes around Broadgate.
Couples looking for a cultural getaway will find these periods particularly appealing. The milder weather is superb for leisurely strolls through the War Memorial Park or along the canal basin, and there are often various cultural events and festivals without the intense summer heat or chill of winter.
For those planning to attend specific events, such as the Coventry Half Marathon in March or the Godiva Festival in July, planning your trip around these dates would be beneficial.

The city centre, particularly around Broadgate and Earl Street, is where you'll find a concentration of bars and pubs. There are also several venues that host live music, ranging from cover bands to local artists. You'll find a mix of traditional pubs and more modern establishments here.
For those looking for a different kind of evening, the area around Fargo Village provides a selection of independent bars and eateries. It's a more relaxed setting, often featuring street food vendors and small, unique drinking spots. This area tends to be quieter during the week but picks up on weekends.
Close to the university, the streets surrounding Gosford Street and Far Gosford Street have several student-focused pubs and bars. These are generally more budget-friendly and can be quite lively, especially during term time.
