"Had a wonderful stay.really nice hotel..although I did mention that it was my husband's 80th birthday and mentioned any complimentaries would be greatfully accepted ..there was nothing ever offered..other than that lovely stay.."

"A very unique place to stay. The staff were so friendly and helpful, I couldn’t praise them enough, especially the breakfast staff and the Library bar staff. They were always smiling and happy to chat. We stayed in a courtyard superior room that was very big with a very large and comfortable bed. We were on the ground floor and were able to park our car by the room each day. The stairs and floor in the bedroom above us were very creaky but it’s to be expected with the age of the property. Breakfast had lots of choices and was very enjoyable. We ate in the Library Bar most evenings and the food was amazing! The outdoor terrace was a lovely place to sit in the evenings. The castle itself was stunning with lots of original features. I would highly recommend it and hope to visit again."
