"We visited Kynren for the day and decided to stay over before our trip home to Yorkshire the next day. Had a lovely overnight stay at The Saxon Inn. The evening meal was excellent with big portions, the pizza was lovely too. We stayed in the triple room with a king size and a single bed. It’s a really spacious room with comfortable beds. Very hospitable staff. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay again."

"The staff were fantastic, really nice. The room was massive, but missed out on 5-star as the shower was pathetic; there was a better shower in the pool. Food was a good selection, and the beer on tap was fantastic. Overall, I had a great break. It would have been excellent if the shower in the room had power.not like dripping tap"

"Staff were really friendly. Hotel was beautiful, as was our room except for the carpet. Stained pink in places and brown spots, told reception as was worried staying with two teenage boys they may have thought it was us! Lady was extremely apologetic and informed me that she would let the managers know. There were also sweet wrappers under the bed which were not ours. Spa looked beautiful, but more for couples/adults relaxing so decided against ruining the vibe with teenage boys! Would visit again with friends or husband though. Restaurant again was beautiful, it did take 45 minutes for our starter to arrive but I think they were short staffed and lady was doing her very best. Once did arrive, food was lovely, as was breakfast. Would stay again as location excellent, staff friendly and think just got a bit unlucky with the carpet as the rest of the room was beautiful especially the bathroom."

"Lovely, spacious property. Spotlessly clean. All mod cons present with extras, Lovely coffee, bread in the freezer. Great location for town centre and walking distance for Kynren. Very comfortable beds. Would definitely recommend to anyone."

"We had the most amazing weekend at The Barn in Oakenshaw for a hen do with 16 of us! It was the perfect place for a weekend full of laughs, dancing, prosecco, and making forever memories with the bride to be. It was cosy and welcoming but with loads of space for everyone to get together and enjoy all the hen do fun. Claire, the host was fantastic throughout, from the moment we booked there was great communication and she was always on hand if we needed anything, which made the whole trip so easy and stress free! We were lucky enough to have some gorgeous sun meaning we could make full use of the outdoor space and bbq area soaking up the sunshine all while celebrating. It really was the cherry on top for such a special weekend.We had the best time from start to finish and couldn’t have asked for a better place to celebrate. I honestly couldn’t recommend The barn enough. Thank you again for having us and helping make our bride to be’s send-off so memorable! Xx"
