Out of the way but close to motorways

Posted 11-Feb-2016
Pros: clean, comfortable and was everything I needed for an overnight stay
Location: Quite close to M25 and M23 but not close enough to hear any noise.
A little off the beaten track, quiet area and worth finding, nice room, courteous staff just what I wanted after a long day. Next time I'll try the restaurant.

Another stay, always lovely here, just wish some of the rooms could be updated, beds and showers a little tired, but can't complain about the great service and delicious cooked breakfast, and of course, the tranquil and beautiful location!

Another peaceful and pleasant stay

Posted 22-Jan-2016
I always stay here as it's a gorgeous location and reasonably priced, with easy access to London. The staff were helpful in assisting and resolving my complaint around beverages served in the bar, which was not deterred me from coming back again. Thr bar do need to ensure they explain lack of ice, lemon etc to customers before they purchase their drinks rather than serving them what looked like lukewarm water rather than gin and tonic. I, as most people would, expect this when having to pay almost £5 for the privilege of buying one!

Surrey stay

Warm comfort, with large spacious rooms, well appointed. Quiet inside with views towards the golf course at the rear of the hotel in quiet leafy suburb. Would definitely visit hotel again

Noisy, out of date, uncomfortable

Posted 21-Nov-2015
Pros: The parking.
Cons: See above!
Location: N/a
Unfortunately, the bed mattresses were so uncomfortable that every time I moved the springs would ping underneath me waking me up. The noise from the other guests, (or maybe they were staff?) was incredible. The sound from the television either next door or upstairs was so loud I could hear every word, and the screeching, giggling girls throughout the night were intolerable. It seems people were checking in at 2am outside my room?? They were very noisy too. The free wifi is a joke! The internet speed renders that particular selling point a complete waste. The bathroom was so old the fittings were brittle and yellow. The cold tap was broken on the top and the temperature of the hot tap was incredibly hot. The bar food wasn't particularly pleasant and the staff tending the bar weren't particularly welcoming either. To top it off, I had an upset stomach in the night/early morning. I can only imagine this was due to this "meal". I'm afraid to say that the only plus about the whole ghastly experience was the free parking at the front door.

Comfortable nights sleep

Very comfortable. Staff were very friendly. Only issue was the party going on with very loud music (could hear it loudly on second floor) until about 00:40 hrs. Otherwise very nice night

Disabled bathroom

Posted 31-Oct-2015 on Hotels
I had the only room in the large hotel with a fully disabled bathroom. This actually spoilt my stay as I found this quite upsetting. I had no reception in my room at all and there were lots of cobwebs.

Well run down and hazardous

Posted 21-Oct-2015
This place is well run down and that bad I guess it should be shut down until all of these health and safety issues are put right. There  was duct tape on ripped carpet in 6 or 7 public areas, many lights not working some flashing on and off, lights and smoke detectors hanging by wires, paint hanging from ceiling in the main bar area & areas that ceiling paint is stained, there was a glass panel smashed at a doorway to a room corridor to rooms & cardboard taped on but that looked like it had been like that for a while, the lift to the upper corridors was of order and the paper sign looked like it had been there for quiet long time, the main gents toilet was disgusting although my room was clean and the food was very good, but now that I think about it I wonder what the kitchen was like...
