Great place friendly staff only complaint was they dont do food but was made aware of this as soon as we arrived and info needs updating in booking

Our host really did make our brief stay enjoyable. The George and Dragon has a style of its own and if tradition mixed with modern comfort is what you are seeking then this pub and restaurant will not disappoint you. They work to earn their reputation. The staff are both pleasant and engaging. It may be a cliche but you really will be made to feel welcome. Watch out for misinformation about its location. It is in the village of Rowde outside of Devizes.

This was a last minute booking that suited us perfectly for cost and conveniently near Chippenham and Bath. We arrived after the restaurant had closed and the coffee machine had been shut down. There was a limited selection of soft drinks available from the bar. The room was an upgrade, spacious and comfortable, dual aspect Windows, with a generous sized en suite shower. The size and comfort of the beds. Nice bed linen. Staff very friendly and helpful, particularly the staff at breakfast. In the morning you need people who are of a happy personality to get you through the day. (well I do!) To get breakfast (buffet style) included in the price is extremely good. Thank you.

Excellent for our short break to see our Nephew.

Our first visit to Beechfield House and hopefully not the last. Lovely, clean, well-serviced rooms. The heated outdoor pool a real draw for the children. A superbly professional Staff team attended to our every need, yet managed to offer a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere for our three girls and one dog.

Lovely old inn with excellent bistro. Room and bathroom were much larger than usual rooms with both separate bath and shower. Everything was delightful.

Red Lion was great . Room comfortable, clean . En suite excellent . Food both evening meal and breakfast very good . Good value for money . Would stay again.

Great pub with fab food. Lovely accommodation block with nice size rooms and facilities. Only down side for us would be beds are very hard, otherwise enjoyed our stay.

Property was nicely decorated and, whilst there is no reception, the instructions to gain access were easy and worked well. The continental breakfast in the room was lovely and well thought through although there was a lack of English Breakfast tea bags which I assume was just because they hadn’t been topped up. There is no parking at the accommodation but lots of parking in the town centre - it’s only a few minutes walk and I would recommend parking first and then walking to the property as...
