Had a one night stopover, room was spacious and very clean with a super comfy bed. Breakfast next morning was excellent, plenty of choice.

The first thing that impressed us was the welcome. Throughout our four night stay the staff were first class - helpful and quick to assist. The room and en suite were pleasant, clean and well furnished. Minor issues were a lack of drawer space in the bedroom (full of blankets, which made the storage of our own clothes difficult) and an electric shower which was difficult to regulate and with a poor flow rate. The general state of the house was good, with ample sitting and dining room space...

Great hotel in great location, perfect for a short stay

First impression of the hotel was not great as the lobby and lift are very small. However I am happy with the room and found the staff extremely helpful generally. It’s great to hear the staff telling American tourists about the history of royalty :)

This hotel is superb , the staff were excellent form arrival to departure and there was nothing they wouldn’t do.

Although I have stayed at 5 star hotels on several occasions, I was amazed by the standard of service of this hotel. All the hotel staff were extremely polite and gave the true meaning to the word "valued" customer. From the first time I entered the hotel it was a different experience all together. Despite the good service at other 5 star hotels, I could always find a small detail missing. Great hotel stay, couldn’t fault anything about this hotel. Great selection at breakfast. Rooms cleaned everyday, good standard of housekeeping. Aldgate/Tower Hill tube stations only 5 mins walk.

Great service and super clean

Fantastic for a business trip - great location and great facilities - also a work space area next to the reception which saved me trudging through the rain to an office. Big clean room and great food and drink options

Really kind and welcoming staff, lovely hotel in a great location. We really enjoyed our stay at the Holmes hotel where a lot of thought has clearlt gone into quirky details and Sherlock Holmes themed decor.We particularly appreciated the nice touch of the sherlock holmes books for our two boys.

We booked this stay last minute as our original booking was unavailable at our check in time. This stay would’ve been out of budget usually but Vrbo are covering the difference from our original booking. Room was a good size and beds were comfortable. Bathroom was a great size with bath and shower. Complimentary bottled water and tea and coffee available with a kettle.
