Take Note: Parking .. on-street where the manager admits Richmond Council will issue parking tickets for the smallest infringement!! The hotel was great, it advertises that it has parking but this is on-street parking. The hotel issues parking permits but what the staff don’t tell you is that the permits are only valid where a residents’ parking permit is required, not all general parking. We parked in a one hour timed spot outside the front of the hotel, and when we told the staff where we had parked were told ‘that’s fine’. But it was not fine, we received a parking fine because our parking permit did not cover where we had parked. The hotel manager was sympathetic, but he admitted his staff needed more training and parking tickets had been issued to previous guests. Lovely room but service and information on parking marred a celebratory visit to Kew.

Brilliant location lovely local restaurants & cafes and very quiet. Good beer! Kew Gardens station linked directly to parts of London you might not expect e.g. Islington. Great manager & all staff except one (inattentive to point of rudeness member of bar staff Sat early evening). Fabulous breakfast. Shower not great but OK & I've had worse. Fire exit light above door horribly bright - take an eye mask.

Comfortable & convenient hotel for Kew Gardens
Ideal -Close to station & Kew Gardens staff very friendly & professional. Excellent food both breakfast & evening meal. Only drawback is - no lift or air conditioning & in Airport flight path. However would go back again to visit both Kew Gardens, Richmond & the Thames.

Excellent location being 5 minutes walk from the tube and 15 minutes walk to Kew Gardens. On bus route to Richmond or use the tube. Staff very friendly and food excellent.

Basic accommodation and not what I would class as boutique. I had booked the most expensive room which was very tired, room 9. Bathroom was nice and modern though. No iron or ironing board in room. Staff really nice. Food good. Seating in restaurant needs a good clean. Breakfast was limited choice, however full English was freshly cooked and nice. Easy walk to Kew Gardens, which is a great day out. Easy walk to Kew railway station to get around London and/or surrounding area. Limited number of restaurants in easy walking distance. Better choice in Richmond, which is around a 30 minute walk, or 5 minutes by car. Hotel is directly under Heathrow flight path, planes overhead from early morning to late evening. Would recommend ear plugs. When flights start to get back to normality they will be virtually one after another, but when we stayed there was not that many. We wouldn’t stay again. Street parking only. Fine on weekends but may be an issue in the week due to permit holder only time restrictions Monday to Friday.
