"I recently stayed at The Clermont London and overall had a positive experience. The standout for me was the staff — they were excellent throughout: friendly, professional, and always willing to help. The hotel itself is fantastic in terms of location, presentation, and overall atmosphere. However, the experience was let down by the initial room we were given (Room 701). Unfortunately, it really wasn’t up to the standard expected — it felt very small, enclosed, and quite frankly more like a prison cell than a comfortable hotel room. While we did request to move, it was disappointing that we were charged £20 to change rooms, especially given the condition of the original one. In summary: great staff and a lovely hotel overall, but the first room and the charge to move did take the edge off what could have been an excellent stay."
