"Room was clean and nice but heating did not work properly and after one cold night we were given small electric radiators. Breakfast was very average. Communal areas in the hotel were very nice although pool was closed which we had not been told about. Location is excellent."

"Check in process was very straightforward. However the building is currently covered in scaffolding whilst works are being carries out, so we inadvertently walked right past it on arrival as you can't see the name! It's a beautiful historic building. The bedrooms are painted in dark colours with pictures of local landmarks hanging on the walls. The bed was very comfortable however only one side had a bedside cupboard for a glass of water and there were no power sockets near the bed. The room and bathroom was nice and warm. We had to leave the bathroom blind down most of the time as there was no frosted glass in the window. Bring slippers for the wooden floor in the bedroom. We could hear the person in the room above us walking around on the very squeaky floors - but it's an old building. Breakfast was lovely with plenty of choice and freshly cooked to order. "
