"We had a very noisy room and they moved us late at night to a room I asked if was on road they replied no but sadly it was didn’t take on board we had already had the noise issue"

"The secret garden is a great addition, but can get very busy . If staying over get a room on a lower floor , we were on the top floor , 6 flights of creaky stairs . Breakfast was good ."

"Fantastic stay from start to finish. Great central location and super friendly staff. The room was beautifully decorated, fantastic breakfast to set you up for the day, restaurant food was amazing and the bar/beer garden were great. Despite it being a pub, it was great to be able to still come and go no matter the time which lent itself well to me as an early bird as it meant I could go for an early morning walk. Overall a great stay and I'll definitely be back. "

"Wonderful old property. Breakfast was great. The hotel has beautiful features. The staircase inside is gorgeous. Lots of stairs so be prepared. The bar is fun and food good. Can’t beat the location if coming by train. Town is at your door, easily one of the most walkable location. Friendly welcoming staff."
