"Beautiful hotel...little challenge for foreigners"
Hotel is beautiful and staff very kind. Not too many English speakers. And location of hotel near main road that changes to a one way during part of day makes getting taxi from nearby sites very difficult. Traffic in Beijing is terrible so would recomend finding hotel near subway line. This one isn't. No nearby food. Hotel food good but pricy...only option. Bring swim cap for pool.
The hotel is a little tired and needs an overhaul however the bed was very comfortable and huge the bath room was good except that when going to the toilet you could be seen by any person entering or leaving the room as the glass was clear..
Staff was excellent helping with a smile and speaking in good Enlish in a number of things I enquired about.
I am staying there on the way back through Beijing next week and I am not unhappy that I will be.
It is in a very good part of the city. Great shopping with a walking street right next door an old market area behind one side of the street and behind the other side of the street new shops and many restaurants. At the other end of the walking street is The Forbidden City and other interesting places to see.

Decent hotel - close by there is a great little stand next to the road that has good dumplings (greens or meat) - only for breakfast.
Other good restaurants close by for dinner.
Internet - wifi so/so.
Short walk to the metro - you want Ciqikou station.
