The clientele was mainly western and the on premise restaurant was good. That section of Beijing was kind of rundown, mainly consisting of Hutongs but it was safe and kind of funky. Bit of a walk to the metro but relatively easy to get around. The “courtyard” of the hotel was very peaceful and I felt relaxed. When I arrived in China, my Alipay didn’t work right, but the hotel staff helped me to fix the issues with payment. When I went to visit the Great Wall (Mutianyu), the staff were very helpful in getting me a taxi to there and back to the hotel. Ca. 5 Minuten. Die Unterkunft ist in einer sicheren Gegend und wirkt durch die engen Gassen einheimisch und nicht sehr touristisch, was schön ist für das Urlaubsgefühl. Die Kommunikation war super. Das Zimmer war sehr sauber. Wir waren zufrieden. Es gab einen kleinen Store vor der Tür, um Getränke und Snacks zu kaufen (Kartenzahlung möglich). Auch das Hotel hatte ein eigenes Restaurant. Die Angestellten haben gutes Englisch gesprochen und waren sehr zuvorkommend und freundlich. Die Lage des Hotels ist verkehrstechnisch sehr gut gelegen. Der Bahnhof Beijing Railway Station ist fußläufig erreichbar. Einzig, das Hotel zu finden, ist etwas schwierig, da es in einer Seitengasse liegt. Interessant ist zudem die Ausstellung über den Briten Edgar Snow, der früher an dieser Stelle gelebt hat.
