"Although the room was adequate , for me disappointing for the sum l paid , which was £225 a night . Although yes, there was a sea view , but totally spoilt ,by the dirty rooftops. Additionally we found the shower scalding hot and very difficult to adjust to a sensible temperature. "

"We arrived late. But staff was accomodating and attended. She guided to free street patking which was not far. As nearby street needed permit and were full. Shower was working , had hot water but pressure was very low . Not sure if it was deliberate or just being at 3rd floor. Breakfast was average. But staff presented servef fresh tea and coffee witj milk which was great. "

"Lovely place. I didn’t realise when I booked that the room is not en-suite. Which was fine except only two toilets for 12-14 pods. The pods are nice and very well kept, but very small for mote than 2 people. Family with little kids ok, but we were groups of adults and teenagers so not idea. Over all place is very nice, but probably not worth the cost. "

"We have been staying here for a few days for quite a few years. It’s a sentimental journey for me, as I spent the first 8 years of my life in Folkestone during the war, from 1939 - 47. The hotel is beautifully situated, with all rooms giving a sea view. Over the years it has been renovated, and brought up to date. The rooms are warm, welcoming, have clean comfortable beds, and constant hot water. But the staff are its biggest asset! Welcoming, helpful, friendly, and any request is fulfilled if...

"This property is definitely past it’s prime, the pictures posted in the listing must be from better times. While the owner was friendly the animal smell in the entry hall was very unpleasant. The room was crammed but clean, one of the beds had dog hairs on it. Overall not what we expected to find looking at the listing, but it worked for one night."
