Location: Right by the city centre with lots to see in the beautiful town. River near by too.
Right by the centre of town which was great. Good value for money. Went for superior room, much nicer than the photos showed. Nice bar on top floor with view.

Nice hotel perfectly placed in Chester

Posted 30-Dec-2017
Great staff, great hotel, lovely breakfast. Parking available in the basement, we were lucky enough to get s space a friend was not and she had to park elsewhere in the city. Upon checking in I asked if breakfast was included, I was informed it was and at no point was I informed that there was a cost for using the hotel car park. I paid for the hotel in full several months in advance. So to my surprise upon checking out after one night stay in a double room for two I was informed I would need to settle my bill for the breakfast (£30 at £15 each) and the parking at total of £40. This I found to be an unpleasant surprise but paid non the less, the staff were lovely and helpful and allowed us to use the car park for an extra couple of hours as long as the vehicle was clear ready for check in time. Check in is at 14:00 and check out 11:00, we needed to be somewhere before 13:30 on the day of check in and not returning before 00:00 hours (last check in is before 00:00) fourtunately when we arrived at approximately 12:50 we were allowed to check in at that time. Did notice that some of the complimentary shampoo's had the seal broke, had been refilled and did notice a bit of ware and use on the caps, not the best touch for a well promoted hotel. I would however recommend the hotel as overall it is very good, great location, lovely tasting breakfast and very attentive staff.

Handy for Chester and the racecourse

Posted 27-Dec-2017
Pros: Room was great, with everything you needed. The bed was comfortable. The restaurant, on the top floor, has excellent views and is top quality.
Cons: The coffee served at breakfast was too strong and bitter.
We booked this fairly late for an overnight stay as we were attending a Christmas function at the racecourse, so only needed a bed for the night and a good breakfast. We got both and were lucky enough to bag the last parking space in the basement. The hotel was only 400yds from our venue for the evening, so was perfect.

City break

Hotel was in good location. Secure parking under hotel at £10 a day. We had a room on 1st floor which was nice but Wi-Fi was terrible. It was unusable. No bath in room only shower which got the floor soaking. Clean and tidy but a little disappointed.

Upmarket hotel centrally situated.

Posted 15-Oct-2017
Pros: See above.
Cons: I found the air conditioner's fans a bit difficult to control.
Location: Abode is well situated to most activities. Close to the castle and museums and only 5 to 10 minutes walk to central Chester.
I enjoyed this hotel very much. The staff were welcoming and helpful. The room was modern with every facility. Breakfast was great. I celebrated my 70th birthday on the last day of my stay. I treated myself to dinner in the restaurant and found the food and service exceptional.

Great place except for parking

Posted 20-Sep-2017 on Hotels
If you stay at the Abode, you may be walking a great distance to park. Abode is very clean, very modern, but is limited with parking for its hotel guests spending an evening there. Seems people come for dinner, and take the parking spots, leaving few for overnight guests. Attendant on duty didn't seem too concerned. Other than that...it was great. (Oh, yes ... park in unauthorized spot and get a $100 ticket if caught, and Abode states up front, they are not liable for payment of ticket.
