Great modern hotel close to the heart of Chester

Posted 18-Apr-2016
Pros: Proximity to the city centre. Parking was very convenient. The staff were very friendly.
Cons: A mini fridge in the room would have been great. For people travelling with small kids being able to put things like milk in a fridge is very helpful!
Location: Very close to the city centre and the city walls.
Great hotel with clean and modern rooms. Lovely bathrooms.

Nice modern hotel next to racecourse

Nice clean room. Hassle free stay other than they don't have enough car parking spaces.

Good hotel, close to shops and river

Posted 07-Mar-2016
Stayed at hotel for a reunion of my husbands uni friends. Lovely room, friendly staff. Very good dinner let down slightly by the veg which came out a good few minutes after meals and was literally a plate of carrots!!! Everything else was excellent. One little gripe is having to pay £25 for two nights parking. Other than that we had a very enjoyable stay

Chester City Break.

Posted 11-Feb-2016
Pros: All the things mentioned above.
Cons: Nothing whatsoever.
Location: The hotel is situated near to the river and racecourse in Chester. Perfect for a short walk into the city centre shops and amenities.
Looked for a hotel within walking distance of the city centre with parking and the Abode fitted the bill perfectly. Throughout our short stay we couldn't find fault with anything regarding the hotel or the staff. The room was large, modern and very clean indeed with a large comfortable bed, large bathroom, bathrobes and lots of lovely towels. there was a good selection for breakfast, cooked to exactly what was asked for with an endless supply of coffee, tea and toast. Car parking was under the hotel and had a £10 supplement. Well worth the cost as it was safe and on the day of checkout we were told we could leave the car there until later following a day in the city--very helpful as it saved us seeking another carpark.

Lovely hotel, lovely location...

Posted 08-Feb-2016
Lovely hotel and lovely location... BUT as with any hotel there was the odd flaw here and there. The paint in the bathroom was chipping off the wall. And weirdly there was no fridge? So all the normally cold beverages were room temperature. So obviously not worth the prices being charged. The parking situation - although yes it was easy and a decent car park, I was pretty surprised about the cost of parking there ON TOP of the cost of the hotel. Fortunately I'd accounted for that in my overall spends for the trip. Other than that it was lovely.

Nice hotel looking on to the racecourse

Posted 26-Jan-2016
Good for one night but walls are thin so we could hear next door talking. Breakfast was good not amazing - lots of choice but all very rice crisps in boxes, mini jars of jam, cheap bread and bottled fruit juice. Staff very attentive and helpful. Can park underneath for a fee.
