Lovely place to stay. Very central for shopping, train & bus station. Staff were really good, friendly & pleasant.
Unfortunately house keeping weren’t on the ball. Dishes left in the dishwasher from previous occupants, black mark in the wall & a torn bath towel in the shower room.
This isn’t a cheap budget hotel, I expected a lot better.

Clean, warm, well maintained, polite friendly staff and reasonable prices with parking in an indoor car park under the hotel (only £13 for 24hrs). Good price for city centre accommodation.

Pub a bit noisy but expected that. Ideal location and we were out most of the night anyway. Breakfast good continental selection and had lovely lunch in bar afterwards too. Handy iron and ironing board and hairdryer and good working shower. Friendly check in.

Loved the wee room I got, bit quirky but was only up for 1 night, bed was huge for a single, fresh and clean, it would definitely do for a cosy couple on a tight budget, great character to the hotel and really made you feel welcome, only downside is a very small reception area and you feel a little lost until someone, staff, speaks to you, nice bar, good food, nice central location, No parking was the biggest problem, look at different options

Room was quiet and clean
Had everything that was needed
Staff helpful and checked that their directions were okay which they were.
Hotel undergoing a revamp but didn’t deter from my stay

A first class, really different B&B. Lovely old building filled with amazing furniture and a lovely collection of quirky items, both inside and outside the house.
Beautiful spread of continental breakfast items, plus a hard to beat cooked Scottish breakfast, the plates full of good quality local produce.
Karolyn and Chris were the perfect hosts, who made every effort to make our stay comfortable, with some nice touches.
Due to the rural location, the honesty bar is a great idea for those who...

Attended an event at the hotel and then stayed the night. Room was excellent and the staff friendly and helpful.
Plenty of choice in the bar and not silly prices.
Breakfast was excellent, as were the views.

We had a room on the lower floor with doors out to a patio and table and chairs. Room was excellent. Large spacious bathroom with large shower and separate deep bath.
Room was spotless and could not fault anything.

Always good staying here.
Towels, shampoo and soap all provided.
Excellent restaurant on ground floor.
Well stocked bar.
Staff generally leave you be, but always plenty around.
You'll do well staying here.
